Meet Our Horses & Animals
Meet the horses at P2 Farm. Whether you are interested in taking advanced lessons, hosting a pony party, a donkey dress-up party, or you want to start horseback riding lessons - take a few minutes and get to know our horses.
Pumpkin - Our go to for all of our little riders, at 28 years old he has retired from the majority of our lessons and spends his days toting around little ones and keeping everyone safe on leisurely trail rides. He loves the water and be prepared for a big pit stop at the river to take a very long drink. Pumpkin was our first rescue and he has helped shape our mission and our program in irreplaceable ways.
Scooter - A favorite among the lesson students, Scooter and MaKayla have helped teach students for over 4 years. He is great for beginners and available for lease options for advanced students that just want to relax enjoy an easy horse.
Snickerdoodle - The first animal that we had on property when she was just three months old, Snickerdoodle is now 4 years old and is available for our little riders to use for lessons and trails. She is a favorite at parties and fits perfectly in our covered party rental space. Snickerdoodles sire is a testament to why breeding for temperament is so important. He passed his incredible personality to both his babies, and his awesome hair.
Jessie- A true story of fate, Jessie was my first horse, I bought her with my own money when I was 18 and she played a huge part in getting my professional career in horses started. Life took a twist and I had to sell her to afford a car, I sold her for quite a pretty penny to a woman that checked all the boxes I wanted for her in her new life. You never forget your first horse, and I never did, so when I got a call that someone had rescued her from a bad divorce situation where she had been left alone and starved, I knew she needed to be back with me. After a few months I was given the opportunity to buy her back and the incredible people that found her helped reunite us. I still have no idea how my name was still attached to her after almost a decade, but I am forever grateful that she landed back here with me. Jessie is a part of our lesson and trail program and is available for lease options to advanced riders looking for a nice horse to show.
Arrow - At 17.1 Arrow is the biggest horse we have on property and he is also the biggest sweetheart. With a powerful motor and a love for going fast Arrow is best suited for intermediate to advanced riders that are not afraid of big power and speed. Arrow is particularly close with Paprika who he has helped raise since she was just a few months old. He loves the babies he has helped raise and is very affectionate to all the members in his herd.
Kaelum - A rambunctious barn favorite, Kaelum came to us as a very young untouched baby, we are not sure of what his story was before he got here but he was pulled out of one of the auction pens at just a few months old all by himself. From the start he was the easiest baby I had ever worked with. Jason and Kaelum formed a truly beautiful bond over the years and if you are at the barn you might see them quite literally running and playing together. Kaelum is still a few years away from being old enough to be used in the program but you may see him being used for a demonstration during a ground lesson or clinic because he is the perfect example horse.
Blizzard - A newer addition to our farm family, Blizzard is a favorite out on the trail. She absolutely loves the water and she enjoys walking deeper in the river than the other horses do. We think Blizzard is absolutely beautiful with her unique markings and rich coloring.
